Mission

To spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. To be as a bright light shining in the world of darkness for all to see and come to Jesus.

PURPOSE

Our purpose is to be as a bright light that shines in a world of darkness, lighting the way for all to see and come to Jesus. To advance the Kingdom of God through good works as our Father in heaven receives all the glory.

CHURCH HISTORY

The New Covenant Baptist Church was founded in 2015.  God, by His divine guidance, led our Pastor, Elder E. L. McNair, Sr., in organizing the new congregation. When inspired by God to call the congregation “New Covenant”, God had explained His divine purpose in Ephesians 2:12-13 and Galatians 3:14 & 29. A meeting was held in April 2015 led by Elder McNair. Eight people were in attendance. God planted His vision in Elder McNair and on Friday, May 8, 2015, he and about 20 people gathered for the “Inaugural Prayer Service” at the Freestate Grand Lodge, located at 2220 Garrison Boulevard. They gathered every Friday at 6:30 p.m. for Prayer and Bible Study. On the weeks that they could not meet at the lodge, they alternated to Thursday night at the Miracle Deliverance Apostolic Center located at 3108 Walbrook Avenue.

They continued to gather every week over the next five months until the Lord blessed New Covenant to transition from week night services as the primary time for gathering to Sunday Morning Worship service with Bible Study on Thursday nights. The initial Sunday worship service was held on Sunday, October, 11, 2015 at the Chatman-Harris Funeral Home located at 5240 Reisterstown Road in Baltimore, Maryland. After the initial Sunday service, all other Sunday services were held at the Freestate Grand Lodge. Over the next few months, the congregation quickly outgrew the lodge (which seated about 35-40 people).

God continued to grant HIS favor UPON NCBC and, in January 2016, the church was able to purchase chairs as well as other furnishings and equipment with donations from members and other supporters.  NCBC moved to their present location at 110 Reisterstown Road in lower Pikesville, Maryland. Several ministries and auxiliaries have been birthed including the NCBC Breath of God Choir, Living Word with Pastor, New Members' and Sunday School Classes, Ushers, Junior Ushers, Greeters, Nurses, Youth Ministry, Media, Women's Ministry, Men's Ministry, Evangelism Ministry including VBS and Outreach, and more.

Though still a new church, NCBC has grown to more than 100 members and God is continuing to grow, mature and strengthen the Ministry. The church’s firm foundation is the Word of God with love, faith, commitment and fellowship being among the main tools used to build and sustain the spiritual and moral structure of our congregation as we daily endeavor to be...
